How does the InPost Service work?

InPost is a locker service that allows you to drop your parcels off at a parcel locker -- available 24 hours a day -- instead of waiting for a collection or for your local drop shop to open.

How do I drop my parcel off?

For InPost, you simply take your parcel to any InPost locker and use the touchscreen to click 'Send a parcel', you then need to follow the on-screen instructions.

Please note: You must book your order and print a label before you take it to the locker.

You can find your nearest local InPost locker here.

If I arrive at the locker and my parcel is too big, what should I do?

If the locker that opens is too small for your parcel please do not close it.

There will be an option on the screen to either 'Open a larger locker' or 'Open the largest locker'. Once you have selected an option, you will be instructed to close the locker, and the new one will open.

If you close the locker before you have selected an option, the locker assumes you have placed your parcel into the locker and won't allow you to proceed further.

What you will need to do now is rebook your order to generate a new label. To rebook your order please click here and you will receive a confirmation of the rebooking including a new label.

How many parcels can I put in each InPost locker?

You are only able to put one parcel in each locker. Should you have booked more than one parcel you’ll need to put them in separate lockers.

Each InPost station contains 42 lockers, so we would recommend processing no more than 20 orders a day unless you are comfortable dropping your parcels off at multiple locker locations.

What is the difference between InPost and a Drop Off service?

InPost - This is a parcel locker service. It allows you to drop off your parcel at a parcel locker at any time of the day, rather than having to wait for the opening time of a drop-off store.

Drop Off - This service requires you to take your parcel to a local drop-off point. Couriers providing drop-off services are Yodel Direct, Evri, Collect+, DPD, Parcelforce, FedEx and UPS.
