To make your life easier as a seller, you can also set up Shopify drop shipping. Read our quick Shopify drop shipping guide below.
Drop shipping is where a third party fulfils your orders for you. Rather than holding on to the items you sell, your dropship partner will store them for you in a warehouse and send them out when orders come through. Smart Send can help you to buy and send through orders to your dropship partner, all for free. Keep track of your orders, buy shipping through our Shopify courier integration and send tracking notifications to your customers, all while sending important order data through to your shipping fulfilment service.
You can manage your Shopify shipping options through the Shopify app. Simply go to Store > Settings and choose the “Shipping and delivery” option. Alternatively, use Smart Send with our Shopify courier integration and easily manage your Shopify and other accounts all from one platform, all for free.
To change your Shopify shipping options, go to your Shopify app and visit Store > Settings. There’s a Shipping and delivery option there for you to select, where you can manage your locations, rates, default package dimensions and more.
Shopify customers are able to see your shipping address if you have a Shopify account yourself, or if you've added the Shopify shipping address you use to your store details. However, you can make it private. On the Shipping origin section on the Shopify app, you can check a box labelled “Hide my address”, which will screen it from customers. Remember to hit save.
You don’t need a specific seller’s permit to sell on Shopify, but it’s important to be aware of any permits you might need for selling in your physical location. You will need to follow the rules on selling imposed by the local or national government.
