Parcel2Go’s Charity of the Year 2024 is Derian House Children’s Hospice - providing care to babies, children, and young people in the North West.
Lancashire based charity, Derian House, provides respite and end-of-life care to over 400 children and young people across the North West. Helping seriously ill children for over 30 years, Derian House Children’s Hospice is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Derian House looks after young people up until the age of 26 years old and offers continued transition support until their 28th birthday, making sure they have an established network around them. And this support extends to the families of those young people too.
This is a charity very close to the hearts of our team at Parcel2Go and we couldn’t be prouder to support.
We’re raising funds for Derian House Children’s Hospice because of the invaluable difference they make to the lives of the people in their care. And here’s why we need your help too.
It will cost Derian House £6 million to run their services for 2024 alone. Of this £6 million, the government provides less than 30% of the funding needed to deliver the excellent care they do.
That’s why we’re championing Derian House Children’s Hospice in their mission to improve the lives of young people in the North West.
Throughout 2024, we’ll be hosting regular auctions to raise money for Derian House Children’s Hospice. And the local charity will be at the forefront of all planned events Parcel2Go runs this year.
We’re also planning a ‘Gift a Present’ event over the festive period, as well as team visits to the hospice to see the amazing work and children we’re supporting first hand.
